Recently Arvind Kejriwal told in his interview that IAC movement is at crossroads, and we don't know which way to go. We ask people to lend suggestions. It was shocking and surprising statement from the mouth of the man who galvanised the whole movement, who was brain behind IAC movement.
Frankly saying Annaji was just a crowd puller. With all due respect to good work done by Annaji in Past and in present, he is not capable of making IAC movement so huge and effective. It was Arvind kejriwal who was father of IAC and so it was shocking for all those supporters to hear these words from his mouth.
His word sounded more like he has accepted defeat, Team Anna or now you can say Team IAC seems to have gone back into stable. Have they over done it or it is best example of too make cooks spoil broth. I think its is of both.
When we talk about democracy and team work we take it for granted as free for all, Free to behave the way you want, free to think & act as one want. Everyone wants to be leader and no one wants to be follower. If it is democracy and team work, one is not supposed to obey other's command or suggestion. Is this how they worked then they were surely to fail and they are at crossroads.
The good news is they are not at dead end, they are at cross roads, they still have option of opting for one path, with three other paths still there. Annaji is sick and seems disinterested in whole movement. Probably he couldn't digest thin crowd at MMRDA ground. Ailing health and failing mass hysteria has made icon of IAC take back seat. He has decided not to tour five states going for election. This must be have given many smiles on congressmen's faces.
Congress need not be happy about anything. Anna's movement has done quite a bit of damage for congress. It may not be seen as successful movement by few media houses, jurnos and political parties, but one must not forget that seed for "Sadda Haq" has been sowed. The seed is in germination process, it would take sometime to come out and grow. The whole of the country has seen what has happened in parliament, at ramlila maidan and across the globe.
We may not have seen something like what has happened in Syria, Egypt, Yemen and other middle east countries, it is just because we have democracy in our country. Otherwise congress leaders would have met have same as dictators of these countries.
Team Anna needs to rename themselves as Team IAC. Sit quite for sometime and gather energy. They are tired, too tired. Plan out stratergy, talk to people, keep pot boiling by touring if not all states then UP only. UP is kurushetra. At present it seems Kejriwal is like Arjun before battle of Mahabharat, only problem here is there is no Shri Krishna to guide him. Probably in over enthusiasm and wrong guidance he has lost Shri Krishna, probably Baba Ramdev or Shri Shri Ravishankarji could have proved to be his Shri Krishna. But in an effort to look secular, Team Anna isolated them and that is the main reason MMRDA was flopped.
Mr. Kejriwal needs to take driver seat. But problem is he has too many "Smart" people in his team. Agewise and career wise Arvind kejriwal stands no where near this stalwart in his team. Be it Ms. Bedi, Bhushans or Ms Patker. It seems Arvind Kejriwal's persona becomes timid before them. Arvind Kejriwal will have to come out of their shadow, become a soft dictator and start planning about next move. UP will have hung assembly. Probably Mayawati+BJP or SP+Congress will form govt. Punjab, manipur, Uttrakhand and Goa doesn't make much difference. So team anna has nothing to lose. It is congress who needs to prove it self.
Team IAC has some good people but unfortunately it is too full of leaders, it need followers. In being democratic IAC has ended up being Laissez-Faire. There comes a time in every orgnaisation-inviduals life when you feel you have come to crossroads. It is healthy sign. Majority of us don't accept it Arvind Kejriwal has. From here IAC need to change its way of thinking, people will have to take back seat and avoid back seat driving. Team IAC should learn to be follower. There can be only one leader rest have to be either guide, managers or followers.
Again the leader should be the one who has clear vision and knowledge of whole mission. Arvind Kejriwal has to come out and take leadership. IAC has created brand Anna, which could have been anyone. Annaji was not as famous as before. Yes to pressurize government a person was needed who could go on fast, could come out as clean and good revive gandhian way of agitation. In that case there could not have better match then Anna. But at the same time fasting is not the only way to protest. There can be many other ways. Sitting on Dharna without fast or fasting by people who can go on for fast for longer time.
Arvind Kejriwal has to come out and say to the people of india, look we are working out, our team is collecting ideas to pressurize government to pass lokpal bill in next session. and it is good sign we have four beautiful paths to go to reach our destination. But then to say all these and make people believe his words, Kejriwal needs confidence which he lacks, but then that work can easily be done by Manish Sisodia or Kumar Vishwas.
